Amp Repairs and Mods

We specialize in repairing and modding vintage tube amps. We can repair just about any guitar amp, but inexpensive solid-state practice amps may not be worth fixing. Contact us and we'll help you figure it out.

We can fix practically anything that's wrong with a guitar amp. Here are some of the most common repairs we are asked to tackle.

It's often possible to improve the sound of a guitar amp by modding it, even though the amp isn't technically broken. Here are a few of the ways we may be able to make your amp sound the way you want it to sound.

The best candidates for modding are vintage amps that don't employ printed circuit board construction. Obscure vintage amps can often be transformed into completely different beasts. For example, it's fairly easy to turn a Traynor YBA-1 bass amp into a dead-on clone of a Marshall JTM-45 or a Fender Bassman.

Even amps with printed circuit board construction can be modded to a surprising degree. Contact us and we'll tell you what's feasible for your amp.
